- Open
Outlook Express and Select Tools.
- Select
Add –> Mail.
- Type
your name as you wish it to appear on outgoing messages and then click Next.
- Type
your email address and then click Next.
- Enter
Ideaone’s server information.
My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
Incoming mail server: mail.ideaone.net
Outgoing mail server: smtp.ideaone.net
- Click Next.
- Enter your Ideaone.net email address where you are
prompted to enter your account name.
Enter your Ideaone password below where you entered your username.
The default password is your account number and either nd or mn for the state your are in.
A password example would be something like this: 999999nd
The account number can be found on your Ideaone Bill.
Be sure to leave “Log on using Secure Password authentication” unchecked.
Click finish.
- You
will be returned to the Mail Accounts window.
Select your Ideaone account and then click on the properties button.
- Click
in the Servers Tab.
Check my server requires authentication.
